Tomorrow, Tomorrow

Lots of stuff planned for tomorrow and by stuff I mean cleaning and laundry.

Sitting her with Bay at 10:52pm and she is "not tired, not tired at any of all"  Not sure if that means she IS tired or she NOT tired...all I know is that I can barely keep my eyes open!

I was going through some of my older pictures today and found this one

About 1 year ago....seems like just yesterday.

*note to self- when picking dresses for Easter this year -at least but ones that match a litle bit!

TuTu Thursday

Thursday nights are dance night for Baylee.

For me it's more like driving, sitting in my car, driving again, sitting again, driving some more and then sitting some more.  With a few french fries and a Micky D's sweet tea thrown in there somewhere.... but for B it is the highlight of her week!

She gets to wear her tu tu and shake her booty to some rocking music.  (Her class is dancing to Casino Queen for tap this year!)

Just look how happy she is

We bought the tu tu a few weeks ago at the mall and I swear that may be the best $7 I've ever spent!  She loves wearing it everywhere and can't understand why it's not approporiate to wear a tu tu to the grocery store!

She goes to ballet first and while she's in class I usually run to McDonalds to get her a Happy Meal and me a Happy Drink (sweet tea!)  Then she GETS TO SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT AND EAT!   You would not believe how pysched she gets about sitting the front seat of my car and eating in the car!

This picture was taken right before she melted down because there was too much bread on her cheeseburger......now shouldn't the people at McDonalds know about the delicate balance in getting the bread to hamburger ratio correct.  I mean c'mon!  I wasted an entire 15 minutes pinching bread off the hamburger until it was edible to her.

Seconds after the tears had dried over the hamburger debacle...she taps her way into her last class.   Ahhh...tap shoes...clearly these were Satan's idea!  Walking out the door after dropping her off with her teacher, Miss Amanda, is top ten on my favorite things to do list.  Miss Amanda amazes me, each week the girls walk out of class all in one piece with their tap shoes still firmly tied to their feet.  If it were me teaching them about 5 minutes in I'd be ripping tap shoes off of little girls feet!

So that's how Thursdays go around here....not too exciting (except if you count the drama of the whole cheeseburger incident)  It's just me and Bay on Thursdays and I truly enjoy spending time with her.  She growing up WAY too fast!

Wednesday nights

Most Wednesday nights are a fast paced blur of work, planning, setting out something of nutritional value for the kids, driving, teaching and then more driving, baths, books and bed.

Today was different though...

I teach the K-2nd grade Awana Sparks class at church on Wednesday nights. I usually have almost 20 5,6, and 7 year olds....needless to say it gets a bit crazy, but tonight we had a smaller group only 12.  I think that is the magic number!  These kids are downright hilarious!  Their simple take on the stories I teach them are just so funny.  As they sat around me tonight I could literaly feel them soaking up the story (Jacob and Esau) and asking very pertinent questions.  As I was explaining what a birthright was one of the boys raised his hand and asked "So when my mom and dad die I am going to get a whole lot more than my little brother, right?"   (at least it shows he was actually listening!)

Makes the crazy Wednesday night sooooo worth it!

I took a bunch of pictures tonight, but am too lazy to upload them.......

As always.....

A day late and a dollar short.....

This week the theme on Iheartfaces.com is Hilarious Outtakes and though I've missed the 9pm CST deadline for entering....thought I'd share my two most favorite outtakes.

Every Christmas my sister Dayna and I get the cousins together for our infamous Christmas card/gift to grandparents photo shoot and EACH and EVERY time we take between 150-200 photos and this is how they usually turn out.....

And then this happened on Christmas Eve while we were setting out milk and cookies for Santa

So although I am not professional photographer material...these outtakes did make me laugh!

Warning....Sappiness Follows

So I've totally screwed up my resolution to post one picture a day.

  I knew it would happen.

I've never been the type to follow through on ANYTHING.  So it doesn't surpise me one bit.  What does surprise me is that I did it as long as I did.  I do really love the idea of finding one particular thing about each day so that it can be documented and perhaps one day be able to look back and appreciate this crazy time in my life.

Today I filled out preschool registration forms for Baylee and it hit me....this is the very last time I will EVER do this!

Now all these little things I do for her I think will this be the last time......will this be that last time I tuck her in and she asks for her special blankie?....is this the last time I cut up her pancake?....is this the last time I will help her put on her socks?

Even though I remind her daily that she is not a baby and needs to start doing things for herself a part of me wants her to stay dependent on me.  I always want to be needed by her.  She the very last baby I will be a Mommy to and though my job is to mold her and guide her into being a self-reliant, confident and mature adult I still get sad thinking about how much she is grown up.  Soon I'll be dropping her off at preschool and before you know it saying goodbye at her college dorm.

Who knew a simple Pre-K registration form could cause such sappiness???
