Does this count????

My sister has issued a challenge to cook.  To actually use the things in my kitchen and create a meal for our family.   I do try, I do....it's just that between dance, basketball practice and work I barely have time to run through the drive thru!  So we usually end up scarfing down some "all in one- meal in a box" at 730pm.

And like any good big sister, I can't stand to not participate....Look what I did today

-Homemade  Pilsbury Cinnamon Rolls right out of the container.  I did actually have to bake them!

The faces of my satisfied customers:

He wasn't really fully awake, yet so his opinion doesn't count!

Conner's friend, Alex, doing the "Since I'm the guest, I'll pretend to like her food" face.

Kaycee's friend, Taylor.  I bet she was thinking I wish she'd put that camera down so we could eat in peace!

I think Kaycee actually enjoyed the cinnamon rolls!

I know it doesn't really count as cooking per se, but it's 10 times better than the cold cereal and milk I serve on school mornings!!!

Snow, Snow and More Snow

Well, I for one am done with the snow!!!   Almost 3 feet of snow!  A historic storm, they say!  Ughhhh, I say!  After two days in the house, I am so ready to get outta here!   I've cleaned, baked, cleaned some more, watched TV, ventured out into the winter wonderland, checked Facebook, and ventured out into the snow again.

Last  night the snow was falling so fast.  2 inches an hour they say and it snowed all night long!

Kaycee and Taylor ventured back across the road to our house.  Those two are best friends!

Snowpocalypse - that's what they are calling it....

Baylee wasn't too happy after getting hit by a snow ball

But she perked up at the mention of some hot chocolate waiting for her inside

Cleaning off the DirecTV dish was a hourly chore!

The big kids started to become daredevils and were jumping off the side of the porch into the snow.

The landing

Kaycee jumped feet first and got stuck!

After some hard core shoveling and snow blowing we finally were able to make a nice path off the porch.

A house full of kids on a snow day means a whole lotta boots!!!!

SNOW DAY

Well the snow is officially here. All the hype was making me crazy!

Took this pic through the window...You know I wouldn't go outside unless it was absolutely necessary.

Conner and Kaycee both had friends over today so we had a house-full of kids!

They all got along pretty well today.  I was sorta thankful to hear Conner arguing with the other girls today because last night he was fielding text message after text message from GIRLS!!!!  Ugh!!!

More picture of the monumental snow are sure to follow tomorrow....if I can muster up the energy to follow the kids outside!!!

Something is missing???

Something is missing tonight in our house...the girls!!! It's just me and Conner tonight. Kaycee is spending the night at the neighbor's house and Baylee is staying with her Aunt Dayna. Conner and I very rarely get time, just me and him and I have to say....I love that boy. He is so funny, smart and dependable!
By the way this is what we woke up to this morning!  And lots more snow is on the way....of course to totally mess up the weekend!!!
